Question
What blocking algorithm is used for the "Maximum Fail Login Attempts"?
Environment
  • NAC Manager
  • Maximum Fail Login Attempts
Answer
The Maximum Fail Login Attempts is associated with the Guest’s MAC address.
Let’s say, Guest1 tries to login 3 times and failed (max login attempts set to 3). Guest1 will not be able to get on to network until the “lockout period” expires (Example 10 minutes).
If immediately Guest1 tries to login using a different devices (and entering the right password), the login is successful.
