Environment
  • T5 PowerBroadband Switch
  • TS-524
  • PBN

  • T5 Switch
  • TW-522
  • TW-511
  • TW-510

Answer
  • The maximum distance supported by T5 varies depending on the quality of the cables
  • Higher Category UTP provides better performance - Category 5 UTP will support longer distances than Category 3 UTP
  • Average Maximum Supported distance for T5 LINE-POWERED ports is approximately 300 meters or 1000 feet over Category 3 UTP
  • Average Maximum Supported distance for locally powered T5 ports is approximately 1200 meters or 4000 feet over Category 3 UTP (use LongReach DSL Bandplan)
Additional notes
  • For best performance, use CAT5 UTP Amphenol cables and 66 Blocks for the phone / room side of the T5
  • Most noise that impacts performance happens closest to the T5 switch where the DSL signals are strongest
