TitleWhat is the SNMP OID's for GBIC/XFP/SFP modules?
Question
  • The following OID in MIB database – .1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.4.13.1 - extremePortMauTable gives information about the port optics status, vendor, status and any restrictions due to unsupported MAU.
  • When we try to poll this information from a switch with SFP modules inserted, the following error message generated:

* switch2.2 # show snmp get 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.4.13.1
extremePort.13.1 = NO_SUCH_OBJECT_EXCEPTION

Environment
  • EXOS 16.1.4.2-Patch1-3
  • Summit all
Answer
  • The “extremePortMauTable” wasn’t implemented because the standard MAU-MIB could be used to retrieve optics information.
  • Since the “extremePortMauTable” is not supported.
  • We have created a documentation CR# xos0068632 to track this issue. This information will be updated on upcoming user guides to reflect the same.
CR Abstract:
- “extremePortMauTable is not supported”
