TitleWhat is the meaning of kernel oops
Question
What is Kernel oops?
Environment
  • All EXOS
  • All Summit switches
  • All Black Diamond switches
Answer
Actually this is related to Linux OS which indicates if there is any Non-maskable interrupt in the extreme XOS code then that will cause an exception in return may fail the switch. This will also lead to not enabling any core dump further. These parameters are related to Linux OS which EXOS it is running.

Hence instead of core dump this generates only mini dump which sometimes because of reboot of switch leading to chances of getting corrupted as well.
