TitleWhen sFlow is enabled on a port that uses PSTAG, what VLAN ID is used in the sampled packets sent to the sFlow Collector
Question
When sFlow is enabled on a port that uses PSTAG, what VLAN ID is used in the sampled packets sent to the sFlow Collector?

Environment
  • EXOS
  • sFlow
Answer
sFlow exports port specific tag ID, not the internal VLAN ID.  therefore if a port is tagged in a VLAN with VLAN ID=100, yet a PSTAG of 200 is configured on the port, the exported sFlow traffic will have the PSTAG of 200
