TitleWhy I do see wrong AP image version on WiNG controller?
While performing upgrade APs got wrong version of WiNG software? Do you see incorrect version under available images?
  • All Summit WM3000 Series Controllers
  • ExtremeWiNG Controllers
  • WirelessWiNG Controllers
  • ExtremeWiNG Access Points
  • WirelessWiNG Acess Points
  • WiNG 5 Software
If you see incorrect versions being available, or your APs got upgraded with wrong version of WiNG code, please confirm that correct images are uploaded on your controller.

It is possible that you previously did upload Wing 5x AP firmware image to Wing controller

Navigate to Operations - select controller in System tree - Adopted Device Upgrade - Device Image File

Or using CLI command

  VX ap8533
  VX nx45xx none
  VX nx5500 none
  VX vx9000 none

If you see incorrect version of code do take a look into File Management and navigate to flash:/upgrade folder, see if there are any custom images and delete those

Directory of flash:/upgrade/
