Why are the mounting bracket screw sizes for some AP7662 and WS-AP3917 APs incorrect?

Answer
Cause:
  • Some APs were tapped with improper screw threads (British ¼”/1.27mm instead of M6/1mm (Fig: 1))
  • If mounting brackets, model KT-147407 were ordered for these APs, they will come with the original screws that will not fit into the improper screw threads

Solution:
  • Screw kits (Fig:2) were made to allow mounting bracket KT-147407 to be properly installed on APs that were tapped incorrectly (refer to the list of affected products). 
  • Send an email to QALSalem@extremenetworks.com in order to get kits shipped to the customer. The email should include the following:
    • Shipping information
    • QTY of screw kits required
