TitleWhy do I see Checksum does not match. current_cksum = 0x16c0388f stored_cksum = 0x8fd5a6c1 errors in my VDX6740 switch when it reboots?
Question
Seeing the following messages in the console logs when my VDX6740 boots up.

/etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S95fabos: [: missing `]'
[wmd_init]: chunk_size = 0xa00000
[wmd_init]: Checksum does not match. current_cksum = 0x16c0388f stored_cksum = 0x8fd5a6c1
[wmd_init]: FPGA version = 0x002223a3
[wmd_init]: reset_reason = 0x2
[wmd_init]: updated reset_reason = 0x0
Environment
Answer
This is a harmless message seen during cold start of the switch. The checksum will match on reboot only if NOS panics (aka crashes). The match will trigger dumping of panicdump data from warm memory to file system.

In other words, if your VDX6740 is running normally you will see this message upon reload.
