With enable vpls-cpu-protection under router mpls level and then add over 2048 of VPLS instances, Warning: MVID allocation failed for VPLS may appear.

This message is to show MVID hardware resourceshaverun out. CPU protection consumes a MVID resource per VPLS instance. For example, if you configureCPU protection under router mpls and thereis atotal of 2048 VPLS instances, 2048 MVID runs out. The remaining VPLS instance over 2048 should turn off CPU protection with Warning: MVID allocation failed for VPLS message.Wecan also check which VPLS instance enables CPU protection or disablewith this commandshow mpls vpls brief.
