TitleWhy won't Chromecast work on my network?
Question
Why won't Chromecast work on my network?
Environment
Network with multiple broadcast domains on EXOS based switches
Answer
Chromecast works based on broadcast technology by sending a UDP packet with a variable port number to the Chromecast receiver. Because of this variable port number, we won't be able to use a UDP profile in order to make the cast traverse broadcast domains.

In order to get this to work, you have to make sure the sender and receiver are in the same broadcast domain. This will allow Chromecast to cast to the receiver devices.
