TitleWill a 'Series 1" option module work in a 140/180-Class S-Series I/O Module or Fabric Module?
Question
Will a 'Series 1" option module work in a 140/180-Class S-Series I/O Module or Fabric Module?
Environment
  • S-Series
  • 08.xx firmware version
Answer
Option module series is identified as the 1st valid number in the part:
  • SOK1208-0204 (the #1 after the 'SOK' indicates Series 1)
Same logic applies for Fabric Modules or I/O Modules to determine if it's 140/180 or 130/150/155 class:
  • ST2206-0848a (the #2 after the 'ST' indicates 140-Class)

In this above instance, a 'Series 1' Option Module will not work with a 140/180 Class blade
