Multicast packet loss when sender is also seen in LLDP and OnePolicy is used

« Go Back

Information

TitleMulticast packet loss when sender is also seen in LLDP and OnePolicy is used
Symptoms
Multicast streams suffer packet loss (small) when Onepolicy is applied to the port.

Environment
EXOS
OnePolicy
multicast
LLDP
Cause
The packet loss is caused by a re-add of the sender mac entry when an LLDP packet is received from the sender. This only happens when a OnePolicy is applied to the port.
Resolution
Disable LLDP on the multicast sender. (An ACL will not help)
Upgrade to 22.7 or 30.3 when that is available. That is fixing this behavior known as CR xos0075057.
