Information

TitleIdentity Engines Health Check to Generic LDAP Oracle Unified Directory 12c Fails
Symptoms
  • Health check requests for the ROOT LDAP tree are not returned in a format expected by Identity Engines.
  • TEST button in Directory Service configuration for the Oracle generic LDAP fails.
  • Health check in the Directory Service monitoring table shows a Red X.
Environment
  • Identity Engines
  • All Software Releases
  • Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) 12c
Cause
Unknown; it is assumed this is a OUD constraint.
Resolution
Identity Engines periodically polls all LDAP-based directory services for the ROOT of the directory tree as described in RootDSE. The response received from OUD did not contain a number of attributes that are expected by Ignition.

It is assumed this is a configurable option on OUD to return standards compliant response attribute value pairs to the RootDSE request.
