Symptoms
  • While SMLT is in use, all Virtual Machines are reachable. However, communication to management vCenter Server Appliance (vCSA) is lost. 
  • Teaming Balancing on VMware vSphere Center Server Appliance (vCSA) is configured with "Route based on IP hash" as per below picture:User-added image
Environment
  • VOSS all supported software versions
Cause
MANAGEMENT Port Group for VMware Kernel directly on ESXi Host (not via vCSA) was configured with 'Balancing by Port ID'.
Resolution
Changing 'Balancing by Port ID' to 'Balancing by IP Hash' on ESXi solved an issue.
