With authentication optional first packet used for authentication is lost
When using authentication mode optional on ports you expect there will be no packet loss. However the first packet used to start authentication is lost.
authentication mode optional
This is caused by the implemented behavior of EXOS. The first packet is copied to the CPU to be processed for authentication. This packet is normally not forwarded.
An improvement will be made in EXOS to forward this packet if the authentication mode is set to optional. This is known as CR xos0076261 and is expected to be included in the October patch of 22.7 and EXOS 30.5.
