  • Performing an in-place 'no internet connection' upgrade (not direct or by proxy to Ubuntu servers).
Environment
  • Extreme Control (NAC)
  • Software Release 8.3.x, 8.4.0.116
  • In-Place Upgrade (No Internet Connection)
Cause
The /etc/update-manager/meta-release file used by apt, dpkg and do-release-upgrade contains a reference to HTTPS-based URLs. The in-place local installer supports a local HTTP-based server only..
Resolution
Modify the file and replace https:// entries with http://.
