Title1G link connection between X460-G2 and X690 goes down when rebooting or swapping sfp transceiver
Symptoms
  • “Auto-neg OFF” setting configured on port does not take effect after reboot if 1G optics (SFP SX or SFP LX) is plugged into 10G capable port in X690
  • 1G link between X460-G2 and X690 through 1G SFP transceivers 
                       Ports do not come up after reboot or GBIX swap 
  • 10G link between X460-G2 and X690 through 10G SFP+ transceivers  
                        Ports stay up after reboot or GBIX swap 
Environment
  • X460-G2, X690
  • Exos all
  • Port status
Cause
In Summit X690, even though "Auto-negotiation OFF" is configured in port, it gets defaulted to "Auto-negotiation ON" at hardware level after reboot
Resolution
Upgrade the devices to EXOS 22.7.1.2.patch 1-24 or higher.

Pre-Upgrade Workaround - configure the port for auto-negotiation on both side of the link
