Extreme Management Center Customized Vendor Profile Data Lost After Database Backup and Restore
Customized Vendor Profiles related data is lost after a database backup and restore, either to the same appliance or to a fresh installation.
Vendor Profile data is not lost when upgrading between releases.

The MyVendorProfile.json repository containing the customized vendor profile data is not included as part of the Extreme Management Center database backup and are therefore lost on restore or transfer of databases from one appliance to another.
Manually backup and restore the following file to maintain a copy of customized Vendor Profile data:
NOTE: Vendor Profiles is considered a beta feature in all releases of Extreme Management Center up to 8.4 as of the publication of this article. NOTE: Inclusion of Vendor Profile related data in the Extreme Management Center database backup is being considered for a future release. Please reference XMC-1456 if engaging Extreme GTAC for services and support.
