Symptoms
  • ERS3626GTS switch was upgraded from an old code to 6.3.2.009
  • Upgrade was done via USB using below commands
download usb diag 3600_6100_diags.bin no-reset
download usb image 3600_632009s.img
  • After the upgrade USB was removed
  • Sustained high CPU utilization was observed since the upgrade

  • Started to experience network latency reaching the ERS3626 switches even from the same subnet
Environment
  • ERS3600
  • Releases 6.4.0 and earlier
Cause
  • Due to a known bug where CPU utilization increases and remains high when a USB drive is removed from the switch
Resolution
  • Workaround: reboot the switch
  • Fix will be included in 6.4.1 release (forecast date pending)
