Symptoms
  • When trying to add the serial number using the Advanced Onboarding page, you receive error "1 of 1 device(s) failed to onboard"

  • When trying to add the serial number using the Quick Add Onboarding page, you receive errors "Quick Onboard Failure", "The following devices failed" with reason "The product type for the device does not exist"

Environment

  • AP460S12C

Cause
AP460C Omni is supported in ExtremeCloudIQ (not IQVA).  Support for the non-sector model AP460s is scheduled to be added with the Q3r3 release for ExtremeCloud IQ.   Support for the sector antenna models, AP460S6C and AP460S12C,  is scheduled to be added with the release of Q3r3.1.     
Resolution
Once the Q3r3 release is rolled out,  add the AP460 serial numbers in order to onboard the APs to ExtremeCloud IQ
Once the Q3r3.1 patch is rolled out, add the AP460S6C and AP460S12C serial numbers in order to onboard the APs to ExtremeCloud IQ
