Information

TitleRoute-map to Filter OSPF Routes Prevents Routes From Being Learned after the OSPF Process is Cleared
Symptoms
1.  Configure route-map to filter OSPF routes from a specific neighbor, using the router-ID. This example allows the 32 bit route which is the same as the neighbors router-ID.
ip access-list standard ospf
  permit host 71.71.71.71
  exit
 ip access-list standard route-source1
  permit host 71.71.71.71
  exit
!
 route-map filter filter permit 5
  match ip address ospf
  match ip route-source route-source1
  exit

2.  Apply route-map to OSPF process
router ospf 1
router-id 66.66.66.66
distribute-list route-map filter in

3.  Only one OSPF route learned from that neighbor as expected
show ip route |find vlan.0.2002
O E2 71.71.71.71/32 [110/20] via 192.168.66.254 vlan.0.2002 8s
C 192.168.66.0/24 [0/0] direct 192.168.66.1 vlan.0.66 54d03h06m00s

4.  Clear OSPF process, forcing routes to be learned once more
clear ip ospf process pid 165
<165>Jan 22 19:37:08 192.168.249.100 OSPF[2]Router Guest: OSPF: NBR 192.168.66.254 transitioned from FULL to DOWN
<165>Jan 22 19:37:14 192.168.249.100 OSPF[2]OSPF: NBR 71.71.71.71 transitioned from LOADING to FULL

5.  Adjacency is full but no routes learned
(su--config-ospf-1)->show ip ospf neighbor
OSPF Process Id 1
ID Pri State Dead-Int Address Interface
71.71.71.71 FULL 36 192.168.66254 vlan.0.66

(su--config-ospf-1)->show ip route |find vlan.0.66
C 192.168.66.0/24 [0/0] direct 192.168.66.1 vlan.0.66 54d03h08m40s
