Title38xx rebooting periodically on firmware 9.12.01 with message show_stack+0x4c/0x178 (unreliable)
Symptoms
  • Access Point 38xx resetting
  • AP rebooting during production
  • AP-report file shows call trace reset due to show_stack+0x4c/0x178(unreliable)
  • Ap.log will display over and over the following message: 
    WAL_DBGID_DEV_TX_TIMEOUT
    WAL_DBGID_DEV_TX_TIMEOUT
    WAL_DBGID_DEV_TX_TIMEOUT
    WAL_DBGID_DEV_TX_TIMEOUT

  • IdentiFi Wireless
Cause
Known issue: Instability observed on the network with Intel AC-7260 based clients.
Resolution

Workaround: Update the Intel AC-7260 driver and disable "Throughput Boost" setting in Advanced Tab.

Additional notes
Issue has been noted in 9.15.01 release notes or higher. 
This issue is not present if the client driver is on 18.20.0.9 or above.
