TitleAP3825 cannot be powered when connecting both LAN ports on the same PoE switch.
Symptoms
  • AP3825 cannot be powered when connecting both LAN ports on the same PoE switch.
  • Access point will not power up on PoE after Switch reboot
Environment

  • LACP
  • X450-48p
  • X440G2
  • B5G124-48P2
Cause
Function as designed.
Resolution
  • In order to support the power redundant feature, each AP LAN port must be connected to the ports on different PoE switches
  • AP3825i, AP3825e, AP3825i-1, and AP3825e-1 support dynamic LAG.  When using this feature, If both Ethernet ports on the same AP are connected to the same switch at the same time, the POE on the switch can only be enabled on one of the ports that the AP is connected to. If both are enabled the AP will not power up.
  • If the Ethernet ports of the AP are connected to separate switches in a stack, then the switches in the stack can provide both POE and LAG functionality simultaneously to the AP.
