AVB streams can become corrupted when LAG's MSRP bandwidth is heavily utilized.

« Go Back

Information

TitleAVB streams can become corrupted when LAG's MSRP bandwidth is heavily utilized.
Symptoms
If an AVB stream is requested that would trigger a single port in the LAG to exceed its bandwidth but not exceed the aggregate bandwidth of the LAG, the stream will be set up and fail silently, rather than failing with an MSRP error.
Environment
  • EXOS 16.2 and above
  • AVB
  • LAG
Cause
MSRP cannot know which LAG member port an MSRP stream will be hashed to. Because of this the delta bandwidth is configurable to allow for this uncertainty.
Resolution
Configure the delta bandwidth can be configured for LAGs when MSRP is used with cumulative mode. See the MSRP LAG support section of the EXOS User Guide for additional information.
