TitleAfter power cycle switch clears values stored in the NVRAM
Symptoms
  • The configuration was reset to default after a reboot
  • After power cycle switch loses stacking configuration​
  • No Real Time Clock - i.e. date/time would be wrong
  • "dmesg" and "show log" outputs have no errors
  • Could not run extended diagnostics and return message below​
ERROR: CANNOT RUN DIAG'S BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT IMAGE I'M USING (pri vs. sec)!!​​
Environment
  • EXOS
Cause
This can be caused by a low or damaged NVRAM battery, so any information stored in the NVRAM is not being retained after a reboot.
Resolution
Submit RMA on the Support Portal.
