Title"An STPD with multiple VLANs must contain only VLANs that belong to the same virtual router (VR) instance".
Symptoms
Page 1141 of the 22.5 User Guide states the following.
 
- “An STPD with multiple VLANs must contain only VLANs that belong to the same virtual router (VR) instance.”
 
A simple test on one of our lab switches and the configuration produces a different result contrary to the above statement.
 
VLANs Default & ‘tt’ are part of STPD s0, yet they belong to different VRs.

As you can see, VLAN ‘tt’ created in VR ‘Temp’ is also added to STP domain ‘s0’, as is the Default VLAN. So, why is the configuration allowing us to add two VLANs from two different VRs to be added to the same STP domain s0?

Cause
The restriction mentioned below is not applicable for current EXOS releases for STP as well as EAPS. This statement was carried over from the legacy EXOS documents.
 
Resolution
CR#xos0075207 has been created to update the EXOS user guide accordingly. The fix is in 22.7.
