TitleCPU forwarded/originated traffic is not forwarded on ports 25-48 of non-master node on 440-G2 SummitStack
Symptoms
CPU forwarded/originated traffic is not forwarded on ports 25-48 of non master node on 440-G2 SummitStack.
This affects IGMP and bootprelay.

Here is an example of how the issue surfaces with regard to bootprelay. Note that packets are relayed from client to DHCP server but not vice versa.
Following configuration is used:
create vlan "clnt"
configure vlan clnt tag 222
create vlan "serv"
configure vlan serv tag 111
configure vlan clnt add ports 2:30 untagged
configure vlan serv add ports 1:10 untagged
configure vlan clnt ipaddress 172.16.0.100 255.255.255.0
enable ipforwarding vlan clnt
configure vlan serv ipaddress 192.168.1.100 255.255.255.0
enable ipforwarding vlan serv
configure bootprelay add 192.168.1.3 vr VR-Default
enable bootprelay ipv4 vlan clnt
enable bootprelay ipv4 vlan serv

Even if bootprelay statistics shows that responses from server were relayed such packets are not forwarded to the client:

Environment
  • EXOS 22.2, 22.3
  • SummitStack
  • IGMP/Bootprelay
Cause
This is due to a software port mapping issue, tracked via CR xos0069919.
Resolution
Upgrade to EXOS 22.4 or newer releases. Alternatively, this issue is not present in EXOS 21, so a downgrade will also resolve the issue if EXOS 22 features are not needed.

What is the recommended software version for my platform?
How do I search release notes for known issues?

Additional notes
The issue is not present in EXOS 21.x
