Symptoms
Following topology and configuration being used:
CE1 [port1] <-> [port1] PE1 [port 2] <-> [port2] PE2 [port 1] <-> [port1] CE2
PE1, PE2:
configure vman vm200 add ports 1 cep cvid 300
configure l2vpn vpls vpls-test add service vman vm300
Packets on egress of ports 1 of PE1 and PE2 don't contain 802.1q tag. CVID tag being stripped on PE routers even before tunneling.

Environment
EXOS 15.x, 16.1
All EXOS platforms with support of MPLS
Cause
Following software defects could be a reason of such behaviour:
  • xos0062300
  • xos0062301
  • xos0067100
Resolution
1) The issue is not seen when use EXOS 16.2.2.4. Upgrade to 16.2.2.4 or newer release.
2) Use VMAN untagged ports instead of CEP ports.
PE1, PE2:
configure vman vm200 add ports 1 untagged
configure l2vpn vpls vpls-test add service vman vm200
