Captive portal web interface on Admin topology uses default SSL cert

« Go Back

Information

TitleCaptive portal web interface on Admin topology uses default SSL cert
Symptoms
A captive portal interface on the Admin topology shows the default SSL cert in use, despite an SSL certificate being configured on the topology.
Environment
IdentiFi Wireless
Cause
The Admin topology only applies its SSL cert to the web management interface (port 5825).
Resolution
This can be changed by manually editing the /etc/apache/extra/httpd-ssl.conf file in the shell. Modify the captive portal interface's certificate portion using the certificate portion of port 5825 as a template.

Then restart the Apache service with apachectl restart.

This is only a temporary workaround, and will need to be repeated whenever the controller reboots or topology config changes are made.
