Symptoms
  • Cannot Access File errors seen in trace of TFTP
  • Firmware upgrades using TFTP fail
  • Configuration archives fail
Environment
  • Extreme Management Center
  • Inventory Manager
Cause
Changing the TFTP root directory from within Extreme Management Center > Options > Inventory Manager is not updating the nstftpd.cfg file with the new directory.
Resolution
Manually edit the file /EMC_Install_path/NetSight/services/nstftpd.cfg to the correct TFTP root directory.

A restart of the TFTP service will be required for the new change to take.

This will be corrected in a future version of the software.
