Symptoms
Periodically, statically set channels (in the DFS range - 52-64, 100-132) on the 5 GHz radio will move to another channel due to a DFS_RADAR event.
 
Environment
  • ExtremeWireless appliances
  • AP3825, AP3935, AP3965
  • firmware 9.21.xx, 10.11.xx, 10.21.xx, 10.31.xx
Cause
When a DFS_RADAR beacon is seen by the Access Point, it has to change its channel to another frequency.
Resolution
  • If possible, reduce the number of DFS channels used in a Channel Plan.
  • Implement a plan to include other frequencies to move to if needed.
  • Upgrade to 10.41.xx when available.
