« Go Back

Information

TitleClient does not receive a DHCP address in 10.11.02 when Access Control is set to Deny
Symptoms
If a wireless client has a Role configured by Policy Manager (PM) with the Access Control default action set to Deny, they may not  get an IP Address.

Environment
  • ExtremeWireless
  • Version 10.11.02
  • Policy Manager
  • NetSight
  • Access Control Deny
Cause
There is an interoperability issue between Policy Manager and the ExtremeWireless Controller in 10.11.02.

Resolution
  • Use the controller GUI to configure the  Roles for the WLAN Services and VNS
  • Using version 10.11.01 and Policy Manager (PM) is ok.  If a Role was configured through PM and then upgraded, there is no issue.
  • There will be a fix in version 10.11.03.
