Symptoms
  • Clients with connection issues on the 2.4 Radio using AP3805 and AP3801.
  • Clients using 802.1X RADIUS authentication are dropping off the Wireless, even though they are still associated to the Radio.
Environment
  • ExtremeWireless appliances
  • AP3801, AP3805
  • firmware 9.21.xx, 10.01.06, 10.11.01 through 10.11.04
Cause
  • Radio congestion points on the 2.4 GHz channels, as most of the users can only connect with the 2.4 GHz radio.
  • Various Tx and Rx buffers were not working properly and would drop a user session ID even while the user was still connected.
Resolution
  • Please upgrade to 9.21.16.
  • Please upgrade to 10.11.06.
  • Please upgrade to 10.21.02, when available.
