To support Outbound ACL's the device must be configured properly to support it. See the information below for configuring the hardware and software to support Outbound ACL's or IPv6 and Outbound ACL's (IPv4) concurrently.
1) The hardware must be configuredproperly. See the ReleaseNotesforTerathonIronWareSoftwareRelease02.1.00to verify its capability to support Outbound ACL's (OACL) or to configure the Hardware for outbound ACL's and/or IPv6.
2) The CAM's may require repartitioning for IPv6 as well as outbound ACL support. On the MG8 by default, thereare no out-session CAMs allocated for outbound ACL's. Check the ReleaseNotesforTerathonIronWareSoftwareRelease02.1.00Section: Cam Partitioning by Block, for more information.
For example, this command will allocate CAM forOutbound ACL's:
cam-partition block session-mac 3 ip-mac 4 out-session 1 ipv6 0 ipv6-session 0
For example, this command will allocate CAM forOutbound ACL's and IPv6 concurrently:
cam-partition block session-mac 1 ip-mac 1 out-session 1 ipv6 1 ipv6-session 0
3) Repartitioning the CAM's requires a reload of the router.
