TitleController rebooted on 10.11 firmware when Access Points are approved or released to it in bulk
Symptoms
  • A controller reboots after new AP's are approved all at once, in a large amount.
  • A controller reboots after upgrade or failover, when a large amount of AP's are released back to it. 
Environment
  • ExtremeWireless
  • Version 10.11.01 or 10.11.02
  • Access Points
  • AP Approval
  • AP Registration
  • AP Release
Cause
This is a condition that is not likely to occur, and is caused by a problem in a hashing algorithm performed when the controller is checking the mac addresses of bulk AP's.  
Resolution
There is a fix coming in a upcoming version of firmware, please contact GTAC to be notified.
