Information

TitleDefinition of log message "ALARM:Mon dd hh:mm:ss: TM Clock Drift: LPXX/TMY (Reg: 0xbe20, Value: 0x4084fce)"
Symptoms

Syslog may generate events such as:

ALARM:Jan 25 04:31:37: TM Clock Drift: LP10/TM1 (Reg: 0xbe20, Value: 0x4084fce)

Internally the system continuously checks the clock synchronization between different traffic managers. When a significant difference is detected, this can generate syslog messages.Although, syslog will report the specific module/traffic manager with a drift, it may not always be this specificmodule causing the problem andfurther analysis from Brocade support is necessary to isolate the cause.Once the cause of the driftis isolated, the component should be replaced/repaired as this is a hardware triggered problem.

Environment
Software Release: N/A
Fixed in Version: N/A
Cause
Hardware failure on linecard traffic manager component.
Resolution
The card which is the source of the clock drift should be replaced.
