Symptoms
  • NAC / EAC appliance is not SNMP pollable or reachable
  • Nacconfig bypasses SNMP settings, states they are set by Netsight Server

Cause
Appliance settings for SNMP are set on EAC (formely NAC)
Resolution
From NAC Manager
1.  Right Click on appliance->Appliance Settings->Network-
2.  Uncheck Manage SNMP settings at bottom of Window
This overrides any local nacconfig of etc/snmp/snmpd.conf configuration

From Extreme Management Center
1.  Change to Control > Access Control.
2.  Expand Engines.
3.  Right click on an Engine Group or an individual engine and select Engine Settings: Default
4.  Select Network Settings > SNMP.
5.  Modify the changes as needed click the Save button.
