Symptoms
The following log messages are seen on boot:

04/06/2015 14:22:10.90 <Erro:HAL.Card.Error> : Unable to read DIAG_ED_DATE_RUN_INFO_OBJ from PLUGIN EEPROM, rv is -11
04/06/2015 14:17:42.58 <Erro:HAL.Card.Error> : Unable to read DIAG_ED_DATE_RUN_INFO_OBJ from PLUGIN EEPROM, rv is -11
04/06/2015 14:01:20.24 <Warn:DM.Warning> : Environment warning reported.  Setting Environment LED color to Amber
04/06/2015 14:01:20.24 <Erro:DM.Error> : Switch: mainboard temperature (0 C) is reaching minimum limit (-10 Celsius).



 
Environment
  • Summit All
  • EXOS 15.6 and earlier
Cause
  • The switch may receive invalid data when initially reading from the temperature sensor on boot, causing the error messages to be logged.
  • This is intermittent and only appears on a reboot or power cycle of the switch.
Resolution
In EXOS 15.7 and later, improvements were made to handle this invalid data. Upgrading to EXOS 15.7 or later should resolve this issue.
Additional notes
These logs are cosmetic, and should only appear on boot.
