Symptoms

Environment
  • ExtremeCloud IQ
  • Firmware 20.4.x.x
  • AP170, version 6.5r11
Cause
CAPWAP communications have been sporadic across many customer sites with version 20.3.x.x and early 20.4.x.x.
Resolution
  • Attempt to Unmanage the device, wait 30-60 seconds, then Manage the device again.
  • Try removing the AP completely from the IQ instance, then Onboard the AP again.
  • If possible, issue a factory reset command to clear the current configuration from the AP, and aloow the AP to come back online and get a full device configuration push from the Cloud.
