Symptoms
Very frequent logging of the below messages in the switch.
 
<Noti:DM.Notice> Setting hwclock time to system time, and broadcasting time
<Noti:DM.Notice> Previous message repeated 116 additional times in the last 7431 second(s)

 
Environment
  • Summit 460,480,670 series switches
  • EXOS 12.4 and higher
Cause
The oscillators used in these switches were provided with a data sheet, which contained incorrect frequency information.  This incorrect information was then programmed into 
ExtremeXOS, resulting in the Time of Day function drift.
Resolution

Please check if the bootrom version in the switch is 2.0.1.5 or higher using the command "show version" if not please contact GTAC to get the pmon_summit_sxls-2.0.1.5.xtr or whichever is higher available.
