Symptoms
Host name is not getting resolved when initiating Telnet/SSH/SCP/TFTP from switch. 

This issue is only seen when using the VR-Default and not seen with VR-Mgmt

 
Could not resolve hostname <host name>: Name or service not known
Error: bad address 'hostname'

 
Environment
  • Exos 21.1 
  • Summit and BlackDiamond switches
Cause
This is identified as a code issue and would be fixed in the upcoming release of 21.1.2
Resolution
A change request CR is already created for this CR # xos0064863

Workaround : Use IP address while doing Telnet/SSH/SCP/TFTP
