Something in the data path between the ap and controller is causing the disruption. 
  • Check the data path from the AP through the network to the controller.
    • Look for duplicate IP addresses in which the Router's ARP cache may be changing for the specific IP Addresses assigned to the AP's
    • Sign of duplicate IP address could be you can ping the AP IP address, but cannot SSH to it (if arp cache is updated for duplicate IP address device)
    • If multiple AP's are going down, verify duplicate gateway IP address is not present
    • Check the cable attached to the AP
    • Check the speed/duplex of the AP, look for CRC errors on the port attached to the AP
  • Taking packet captures down the data path looking for WASSP UDP 13910 poll packets should help find where the packet loss is occurring (usually a firewall or switch issue).
  • Where can I download a Wireshark version that will decode your access points (AP) Wireless Access Station Session Protocol (WASSP) packets?
  • Increasing the poll timeout may help but it would only be masking the root cause.

Additional notes
In the access point trace bundle( How to Collect Access Point Logging Information (Trace Bundle).) you should see a file called ap-report.txt.x.gz. If you open that file you will see messages that say:

AP reboot due to poll-timeout
There is also a message that will let you know the path failure: 
Testing link to HWC:, ...not reachable.
Testing link to Gateway:, ...not reachable.
Testing link to LoopBack:, ...reachable.
This info may help direct you to the failure spot.
