Symptoms
  • Wireless client unable to access network
  • NAC and Controller showing client with unauthorized role
  • Client is getting IP address
  • Client is not getting the correct role
  • NAC and controller both see the client
  • 802.1x VNS
  • Radius
  • NAC shows user as registered, but to the wrong Location-based role
  • NAC End system events do not show SSID under End systems tab,  Switch Port column.  End System ends up up matching the wrong rule.
Environment
  • C4110
  • NAC Manager
Cause
Radius TLVs attributes were not set on the controller
Resolution
1. Go to the controller WLAN menu
2. Select the WLAN
3. Select the Auth & Acct tab
4. Select the Radius TLVs button
5. Check the following VNS Name AP Name and SSID
6. Select OK button
7. Select Save in the main Auth & Acct menu to save changes
