Symptoms
  • Records on hub node are not fully synchronized on spoke nodes.
  • A record on hub node containing non-US ASCII foreign characters are not imported on spoke node.
  • User & device records on spoke nodes are less than the number of records on hub node.
  • Random authentication failures for users & devices not present on spoke nodes.
Environment
  • Identity Engines Ignition
  • Software Release 9.5.0 and earlier
  • Extended HA (ExtHA)
Cause
The Extended HA synchronization did not support import of records in ExtHA deployments containing non-US ASCII foreign characters.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in Identity Engines Ignition 9.5.1 and later with functionality added to properly import / synchronize records containing non-US ASCII foreign characters on spoke nodes in ExtHA.
