Symptoms
  • Not able to ping between hosts that are connected over a VPLS service
  • Missing ARP entries in the expected VLAN
  • FDB entries learned on incorrect VLAN or VPLS service
Environment
  • EXOS 15.5.3.4-patch1-5
  • MPLS L2VPN
Cause

This is a software defect that can be tracked via CR xos0063842. During physical port flapping, the MPLS pseudowire is being recreated but the reference to the old entry is not being removed.


 
Resolution
A software upgrade is required to resolve.  The issue is resolved in the following releases:
  • EXOS 16.2.1
  • EXOS 22.1.1
  • EXOS 16.1.3.6-patch1-8
  • EXOS 21.1.1.4-patch1-5
