Environment
  • EXOS 15.5.3
  • All EXOS platforms with MPLS features support
  • MPLS
  • VPLS
Cause
MPLS kernel message had been logged due to unavailability of hardware resources that needed to add L2VPN port. Due to that, the packets were not forwarded over L2VPN tunnel.
One of possible root causes of the issue could be software defect xos0058671 - VPLS: unknown traffic is getting duplicated when changing dot1q tag (include/ex).
Resolution
Upgrade to following EXOS versions or higher:
  • EXOS 15.7.1
  • EXOS 15.6.3-GA-Jun15
  • EXOS 15.5.4-GA-Jun15
