LLDP information in SNMP is not correct

Information

TitleLLDP information in SNMP is not correct
Symptoms
When EXOS is queried with SNMP for LLDP information, some information like lldpRemSysCapSupported  is wrongly formatted.
Environment
  • EXOS
  • LLDP
  • SNMP
Cause
This is caused by calculating the wrong SYNTAX bits, EXOS is starting from LSB instead of MSB. This is known as CR xos0065946.
As a result of this an AP connected to an EXOS switch is seen as a router by Netsight for example.
Resolution
Upgrade to a fixed EXOS version when available.
EXOS 16.2.2, February 2016 patch
EXOS 21.1.3
EXOS 22.2.1

LLDP tables that are wrong calculated are:
lldpLocSysCapEnabled
lldpRemSysCapEnabled
ldpXdot3PortConfigTLVsTxEnable
lldpPortConfigTLVsTxEnable
