Symptoms
WLAN mapped to multiple Vlans,  Wlan mapped to AP's on multiple  RF-Domains , Each RF-Domain on its own VLAN, 
Environment
  • All WiNG Controllers
  • All WiNG AP's
  • WiNG 5.x
Cause
Layer 3 roaming 
Resolution
  • Enable Controller Assisted Mobility-  To use a controller or service platform's mobility database to assist in roaming between RF Domains. This feature is disabled by default.
To enable via GUI
  • configuration > wireless > wlan policy> client settings > mobility > Controller Assisted Mobility
      To enable via GUI navigate configuration > wireless > wlan policy> client settings > mobility > Controller Assisted Mobility


To enable vi CLI
>en
#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.
#wlan yourwifi
(config-wlan-yourwifi)#controller-assisted-mobility
(config-wlan-yourwifi)#commit write

 
Additional notes
To support the L3 Mobility the following are required
 
  • WLAN must be tunneled
  • Controller-assisted-mobility needs to be enabled for that WLAN.
  • If the APs are adopted via mint Lv2 then bridging mode tunnel, and tunnel-over-level2 needs to be enabled as well.
