events: Mobility Manager Disconnection: Received disconnection request from: a.b.c.d error reason: msg error 2

 
Environment
  • ExtremeWireless (identiFi)
  • Firmware all
  • Mobility
  • Over 48000 active users in the mobility domain
Cause
The maximum supported number of users in a mobility domain is 48000 What are the supported system limits per IdentiFi Wireless Controller?
Resolution
Possible workarounds:
  1. Reduce the session idle timeout (default 30 minutes) to clear stale sessions How to configure Wireless Clients Session Time-Out
  2. Verify mobility is required in your environment: Do I need to configure mobility in addition to availability when using two controller?
Resolution:
  • Break up the mobility domain into smaller groups
Additional notes
Firmware 10.41.05 and 9.21.20 (ETA mid-June 2018) will print the following new log message:
