Symptoms
NAC assessment agent will not launch but does install successfully
/var/tmp/Nac Assessment Agent log throws following error: 
101217 09:04:48 INFO : MacNacClient connected to another instance. Will send notification '' and exit. (?:?-main) 
101217 09:04:48 ERROR: Unable to instantiate application. (?:?-main) 
com.cloudpath.common.util.DuplicateInstanceException 
at com.cloudpath.app.common.SingleInstanceApplication.<init>(Unknown Source) 
at com.cloudpath.app.nac.launch.NacClient.<init>(Unknown Source) 
at com.cloudpath.app.nac.launch.MacNacClient.<init>(Unknown Source)

Environment
  • MAC High Sierra
  • NAC Assessment Agent 
Cause
Drobo Dashboard software is causing the assessment agent to not start correctly
Resolution
Move the Drobo plist from from the "LaunchDaemons" to the "LaunchAgents" folder.
